Directions from Canada & Other Info (2008 Retreat)

After entering United States (Washington) via HWY 99, follow I-5 for a
few hours.
From I-5 take West Seattle Bridge Exit (#163). - 5.2 km
Cross the West Seattle Bridge and follow signs to the Vashon ferry.
The street will become Fauntleroy Avenue which takes you directly to
the ferry dock.
It is past Lincoln Park on the right-hand side. If there is a line for
the ferry pull behind the other cars at the end of the line.

DO NOT CUT IN LINE - THE COPS WILL BE CALLED.

Purchase a round trip ticket to Vashon Island at the toll booth.
When you dock on Vashon Island, you will exit the ferry and be on
Vashon Island Highway.
Follow about 9 miles.
Along the way you will pass through 4 flashing red lights.
At the 4th flashing red light, turn left on to SW Burton Drive.
Follow for 1/3 mile and turn right on to SW Bayview Drive.
Follow for another 1/3 mile and you will see the entrance to Camp
Burton on the left.

Last minute travel tips (archive from '08 retreat)

Remember to pack:

  • Sleeping bag (unless you requested bedding on registration)
  • Enough clothes for the whole weekend
  • A few people like to dress up during the Divaans/Darbars, feel free to do so
  • Your open-mic night act


Don’t forget to:

  • Check the weather forecast for Vashon, Washington
  • Confirm your transportation plans
  • Fill out that survey linked above!

"What are you most looking forward to at this year's retreat?" (2008)
